FCA-FAC

Views and Positions

Because the member associations making up the FCA come from across the city, they often differ in their concerns and points of view. Individual associations issue public statements and you are encouraged to visit their sites to understand their positions - see our links page. We also publish some position papers on our documents page.

Periodically the FCA adopts positions which reflect a consensus of member associations. These are the basis of FCA submissions to Council committees, press releases or public statements.

Public Statements

In September 2011 the FCA board issued a statement regarding the City's recovery of legal costs from public interest litigants. Attached to the statement was a letter to the Mayor on the subject.

In October of 2007,the FCA board approved a paper of recommendations for changes to the property tax system which had been prepared by an FCA sub-committee. The recommendations are in the process of distribution to decision-makers.
